Sausage tip
Our sausages are hand made with wonky bits and character. They are a world apart from the identical, uniform sausages churned out in factories everywhere. We craft them with care and with love. So we turned our thoughts to how best to cook them and ended up with this tip.
Take the whole pack of sausages and put into a pot of slowly simmering water. Gently poach them for about five minutes, remove from the water and allow to cool, If you want you can put them in the fridge where they will be happy for up to five days. When you are ready to eat them, the sausages can be untied and cut into single sausages. Then gently pan fry until golden brown.
Since doing this we have had no split skins or problems at all. Try it, it’s a good tip!
Paté tip
If you fancy a try of our patés, either chicken liver or the delectable mushroom, don’t forget to add some carmalised onion chutney to your plate. The combination of the paté and the sweetness of the chutney is amazing…..or at least I love it!

Lyn says that she brightens up her Bangers and Mash with onions. She fries the onions until they caramalise and folds them into the mashed potatoes with a little mustard to give a better punch to the dish. Try and enjoy.
